I recently tried to update the maps on my XF InControl Pro but it seems it corrupted the existing maps in the system. Now when I try to use navigation rather than showing me the old maps or preferably the new maps I thought I was installing, it tells me there are no maps installed.
How do I restore the maps back to any version? I have tried to factory reset the InControl Pro but this does nothing to bring back the maps.
Yes several times, it goes through the steps to get to the point where it shows the progress bar but fails at 0%, changes screen and says, "Unable to install maps. Please try again or contact your Dealer". I've tried downloading numerous times, formatting the stick both in WIN10 and through the Jaguar downloader, tried different sticks but no joy and combinations thereof but it still works upto the point of the progress bar screen. It appears from the prior screens that the files are fine and validates the newer version but after that screen it should start the install but fails.
That's odd, it should start from scratch again.
They're very fussy about USB sticks, I find SanDisk ones work every time. They have to be formatted as FAT32, best not using the 'quick format' option in Windoze.
I'd try emailing Customer Service at jagcrc@jaguarlandrover.com
I've found that they can be very helpful.
Thanks yes I did read about the type of stick and its size being an issue. But I would have thought that if that was the case then it would not read and verify the stick version I was trying to install - it was an issue including formatting which I discovered earlier and so made sure I had the right stick and size. Its one I just can't figure out.
i have 2012 xf with usb update but stock on 65%and says "your usb have issues"but i tested and it is fine,do you know how dealer did reset navigation?thanks for answer
