Default P008B

I'm new here. I saw where the other member said he saw the code but the common symptom with the threads I saw was smoke. I'm getting the code it's not smoking though. It did die on me Sat for a couple days and started back up. The code is saying high fuel pressure and suggesting a fuel pump replacement. Is there a separate fuel pressure sensor or regulator, and if I do replace the whole pump which should I replace or both

Welcome to the forums Ashawnti1,

No Model Year, engine type or location so we have no idea about the vehicle other than it is probably a current XF.

What decided you to check for DTC's and did you use compatible (dealer level) diagnostics capable of reading extended Pxxxx-yy codes? The extended code indicates whether it is driver module, pressure sensor or pump:

However, the first step is to eliminate battery (low charge/failing) and harness faults before considering component replacment.

Modern Jaguars usually show a list of codes simply as a result of sensors sometimes recording out-of-range values and therefore not all are indicative of a fault.
