My 2017 XFS lost all power on the motorway last night - the accelerator wasn't responding and I thought it was just lag for a moment but it didn't kick in and then felt like the car actively slowed when I pressed the accelerator down hard. I pulled over and switched the ignition off then when I switched it back on the accelerator worked again and was fine for the rest of the journey. The same happened again within the first 10 minutes of the return journey.
I've got a P2101-77 diagnostic code suggesting I likely need to either clean or replace the throttle body. I disconnected a pipe from the side of the air intake and it was very brittle and snapped off as I pulled the connector away.
Does anyone know what this is? It looks like I might just be able to replace the tubing but I'm not sure what with e.g. whether it needs to be a specific spec (heat resistant? able to cope with pressure of whatever goes down it etc?).

It looks to me like all you need to do is push it back in: if the tabs won't click tight, you should still have a vacuum seal.
But, I don't think this is your issue. Try cleaning the throttle body (inside) and the throttle plate: gently, clean rag and throttle body cleaner. Then clean the MAF sensor.
Sorry I should have been more clear - the part I'm holding in the photo snapped off at the other end near the coloured wires in the first photo. The air intake side is fine and clips back on.
I think it's called a breather or breather pipe but I don't have a part number yet and I'm still struggling to find a replacement part.
I did check the throttle plate and it is sticking so I've ordered some throttle body cleaner to clean that up. I'll have a look at the MAF sensor too while I'm at it.
My main issue at the moment is this pipe that snapped off, I don't really want to start the engine again until I've sorted that. I might order some rubber tubing and hose clips and see if I can patch it up with that for now.
We need to see the side of the pipe where it is broken: it would appear that you could use a 1/4inch rubber hose on both sides of the broken pipe . . . but I need to see the pipe where it is broken.
