Random thought- washing the car for the first time this weekend I noticed that the silver cross bar on the R-Sport isn't connected to the bumper its attached to the grille itself. Wondering if this lower grille part without the silver cross bar can be sourced from an XF-S and be replaced? has anyone attempted this?

 

The bumper its self has two cut outs in it for the blades (on the inside edges) So you will need to replace the whole bumper which can be done
