Steering Rack Replacement on 2016 XF 3.0 V6
Hi everyone.
I have an issue with my steering rack which has resulted in me needing to change it. The issue I have is part numbers. The existing part number on the rack is GX63-3200-BF however, I’m seeing steering racks for this car with another part number, HX63-3200-BA. The two racks look identical but will the latter fit and function ok?
Thank you you in advance.

You should talk to a Jaguar parts counter instead of asking the regular Joe's on here. The parts counters (either at the dealer or online) know if part numbers have been changed for the same part, and it happens a lot that part numbers are superseded.
Try a different Jag parts counter.

Did you find anything useful about the part numbers? I have xf 3.0 d s 2016 but dont know which part number is on it so curious to know if the difference in steering racks parts affects the special modes (dynamic, eco etc) ?
I’ve ended up fitting both over the last two years and both functioned fine. Only swapped over again last year as the belt snapped internally. Currently running the H part number and it’s happy.
Thank you for that Wills much appreciated. It seems weird that steering rack fails so easily, mine has only done 85k miles. Following some of my research I found that it is possible to replace the internal belt in the rack, might be worth experimenting on if you still got the old steering rack.
