Default Transmission Fluid Change

I am looking for help with changing the transmission fluid on my 2009 Jaguar XF...I just bought this car and the 15 pin connector sleeve on the casing is dripping...I have drained and removed the transmission pan, the car has 152,000 miles, and purchased a new auto trans valve body sealing sleeve, pan and new bolts to hopefully fix the leaking part and start fresh with clean fluid change. I can't find any information or videos how to properly refill the transmission or the amount of fluid required.

Hello, I wanted to give you some advice. I own a 2016 xf s, it's my 1st jag and loving it so far. I believe the newer jags are x260, you have a x250. However, I've done lots of tranny fluid changes on a variety of cars. Since you drained and dropped the pan already, it's too late to save and measure the fluid that came out. If you put it back or are gonna to, check the side of the pan or the side, bottom of the valve body for a plug. It may look like a flat bolt or a flat hex screw. You fill until the fluids starts dripping out. Then turn on the engine, applying the brakes and not letting go of the brake pedal, you shift and go thru all the gears for a couple minutes. This makes the fluid flow thru the tranny. Set it on park and with the engine on, you pump more fluid until starts dripping out and you put the plug back in.
Thats a rough summary. Jaguar may have special steps.
I will do this before my XF reaches 75k miles.
Good luck

The very transmission is in many models. There are many threads on this process with pictures and explanations with these other cars.
I don’t see a signature with your exact model and engine soI can’t be more helpful at this time.

Your car has the ZF 6HP26 transmission in it. Here's some links that may help. This tranny was used in BMW's and Audi's as well
