Default Tyre Pressure

Hello!

I have 2016 Jaguar XF 2.0D 132kw. I see: Tyre Pressure Monitoring System Fault

Tyre pressures controlled and they seem ok, also tried light and heavy settings. All fuses are OK. Then went to workshop, they did diagnostic and see that wheel sensors are in place and should work. Then they wanted to OBD diagnostic, but they didnt get in tyre pressure module. Maybe module fault? Anybody had similar fault? X260 has not 4 antennas (2 in front bumper, 2 in back) like x250 jaguar?
Thanks! Hope to solve problem soon

When did this fault show up? Upon starting the car or after driving for a while and at what load setting?

I just bought a car and I noticed its there when car get to me. The light, message turns on when I turn ignition to on position. First (!) starts to blink and then (!) stays on and “tyre pressure monitoring system fault” is written. Tyre load set to “light”. All tyre pressures are ok. Fuses are ok too. Old owner just changed tyres also before selling me. Workshop did wheel sensor diagnostic with some special tool on every wheel and said that wheel sensors are in place, should work too, then started to OBD diagnose with some Launch diagnostic tool, but it didn’t read information about tpms system. Or not getting connection with it. They told to put new module. Is x260 module located under front right seat as well?
Thanks!

Are the correct frequency sensors installed. THis could be an issue if they were replaced before you bought the car.

I’m going to find it out. Maybe workshop can see this with special wheel sensors tool.

You've probably already done this but: This TPMS algorithm is different than most so first make sure the tire pressures are set correctly to the recommendation ...... when tires are cold before driving on them. Note the difference between light and heavy load. Set them to the pressure for the load you want. For the system to work properly you need to reset tire pressures when changing the load setting. And I agree with Rummy636 on the frequencies. I don't know where the receivers are but there are several good threads on this forum about the whole system.

Went to other workshop today. They checked all wheel sensors are working and in place. Then they tried with two different OBD diagnostic tools, to read fault codes and TPMS module, but OBD diagnotic tools not reading, getting any data from TPMS module. So everybody think that it's faulty tpms control module or broken wire. I ordered other tpms control module to try. Maybe someone know TPMS module location. In X250 it is under front right seat, but can't find information about X260 type car. Thanks for responses.

I got new TPMS module now, but don't know where it's located in car. Someone maybe knows location?

Good news. Was it in the overhead liner by the rear seat lamp? Hard to get to?

Yes, in the overhead liner by the rear seat lamp, just pull out the lampcover and then take TPMS module out to get off connector. Easy change, 5 minutes.
