I was looking through Edmunds and in the pictures of the 2016, there's 2 pics of the center console with a manual and then 2 pics of the rotary selector.

At the moment it seems that the manual transmission is only available with the 2.0L Diesel engines in the UK (the manual option is not listed for other markets), also the XE in the UK can be specified with a manual behind the 2.0L Diesel engine but other markets don't get it.

Given that there is a manual option with the Supercharged V6 F-Type, and the necessary hardware would seem to exist for the new XF, I would hope that sometime down the track you could get a manual V6 XF. Fingers crossed.

If you want one, ask for it. The more people who ask the better the chance of it happening.

 

It's great that they are keeping the manual alive. I'm generally over the lust to have a manual tranny again, but the thought of an AWD Supercharged V6 with a traditional slusher actually sounds appealing to me again!!!!
