Window rattle drivers door
I've found the cables where the intersect each other inside the door to be quite common issue for rattle.
You'll need to pull the door panel and the cover to window regulator. Where you see the 2 cables intersect, apply some foam tape and should fix your rattle.

I can look at the cables as suggested but struggle to see why dropping the window by a fraction of a mm would stop the rattle if the cables were the cause?
The position of the cable changes as it operates. I wasn't saying it was the cause, just mentioning that it is a common issue with rattles from driver's door.
It could be anything inside the door, suspect it to be involved with the regulator ( cables, clips attached to window - these are plastic, etc. )
