10k repairs in 2 months.
During the last two months I have had the following done on my 67k mile XFR - 2 services:
2 oil changes
spark plugs
injectors
HP fuel pumps
rear wheel cracked
oil leak requiring new oil pan
2 rental cars
Plus the 2x286 that I paid on warranty deductible.
Glad I paid 5k for an extended warranty. I'm certainly ahead of the game.

Looks to me like another situation of a shop taking advantage of a warranty company (even if that warranty company is Jaguar).
At 67K miles, I doubt every injector was bad. Wouldn't be surprised if 1 was bad and they replaced all of them and then the pumps to boost profits.
And a cracked wheel must be some bad driving. Along with a oil pan that needs replacing? What kind of off-roading do you do with your Jag to damage an oil pan? They aren't exactly high technology items that break with time.
Gives Jags a bad name and scares the crap out of people like XF 10 Premium. If you were paying out of pocket, you could go to an independent and have a very reasonable bill for fixing just what needs to be fixed.

I don't do any "offroading" with my Jag
I don't know what happened. Car was really great and then all of a sudden turned to crap. The car seems to be living down to the reputation of Jags gone by: If you have a Jag, be sure to have a spare car.

. As for the broken wheel, you need to visit Houston's pothole world. I mainly commute to work on freeways from 5 to 80 mph.

I can't say the same thing for Dallas. The last time I was down there there were huge chunks of concrete in the interstate from all of the construction and I saw, no lie, molten welding debris dropping down onto cars below an overpass. I was never more glad to be in a rental car in my life!
I thought Atlanta roads were horrible, until I visited Houston. Better than Jersey though.

Why spark plugs at 67K miles? They're good for 100K.
Why injectors and fuel pumps?
Cracked wheel is your fault, not the car.
Does you dealer not provide courtesy cars?
Sounds like you're looking for excuses to hate the car.
The extended warranty covered your cracked wheel? Sign me up! lol
Sounds like a pretty good decision you made buying the warranty.
The dealership charged my extended warranty $6xx.xx for replacing a thermostat. I can agree on when it runs out of time/mileage to sell/trade the car unless you have a honest indie garage near by that will work on it for much less.

I'm kinda with lotusespritse and Mikey on this one.
I'd be highly surprised if all that work "NEEDED" doing, it does sound like the dealer out to gouge a decent score out of the warranty company.
I'm sure if it was down to you to pay that most of that wouldn't be done or some form of forum workaround at less $$$$ would have been found.
Just my opinion of course...

Which of that list is unique to a Jaguar? Certainly not oil changes, broken wheels or clogged injectors due to fuel contamination. Nor spark plugs, oil pans or rental cars.
Am I am missing the point?

Two oil changes in two months? Why? That's routine mtce. in any case.

The first oil change was because the injectors stuck open and dumped a lot of fuel into the oil. The second was because the oil pan was replaced. Injectors were stuck and the HP fuel pumps went bad mechanically and weren't putting out the needed pressure. The spark plugs were replaced because of all the excess fuel in the cylinders from the open injectors. All these repairs are reviewed by the warranty inspector who has to come out (more delay) and approve ALL the repairs. Warranty covered the wheel from road hazard damage. Yes, they provided the loaner car. That all was covered in the warranty but I still got detailed bills.
I love the car - the fit and finish and all the doodads it has and the POWER!. Plus it really looks nice and gets a lot of comments. The sound system is fantastic!
I don't like the lack of reliability, plus every time the dealer gets the car they have it for over a week. The problem appears to be that there are no locally sourced parts so when the car needs a specialized part it has to come from Atlanta and that can take days.
Driving a loaner presents its own set of problems with toll roads, too.
Once I needed a door handle electronic unlocking mechanism fixed - 2 1/2 weeks. The work with the fuel injectors and pumps was 3 1/2 weeks and this last time was over a week. My friends (Lexus drivers): "Your car is in the shop again???"
The car runs great for an extended period of time and then all at once several things go wrong with it. I put a lot of miles on the car; it's my daily driver. I put 68k miles on it in 3.5 years, mostly freeway driving. Go figure.

And if they keep it up long enough they might well find themselves facing a repair audit. Or, at minimum, face a lot of additional (time consuming, unpleasant) scrutiny in the future when claims are called in.
These warranty companies, like any other insurance company, keep boatloads of statistics. If a repair shop, dealer or otherwise, has enough claims for the warranty company to develop some meaningful amount of info you can bet the dollars-per-claim and other claims statistics are being watched for red flags. They can easily get into a enough detail to isolate a particular mechanic or service advisor to the excessive expense. For example, if one particular mechanic in the shop just loves replacing *all* injectors rather than isolating just a couple that are truly faulty, the warranty company may well have that info. Or if there are three service advisors but just one of them has an average claims expense twice as high as the others do, the dealer is probably gonna be hearing about it

Cheers

Fuel does not ruin spark plugs. Another rip off.
Oil pan probably had a gasket problem, and they made it a much bigger repair.
Inspector might be getting it on back end to approve these bogus repairs.
Oh, and no it doesn't cause a problem to have a loaner car with toll tags. You're clearly not aware that you can log into your Toll Tag account and add a loaner vehicle for however many days you will have it.

CP1:
I understand your fear of where this leads post warranty, but like the others, I do believe there is some level of piling on by your mechanics. And I would remind you- if they are happy to cheat the warranty company who they reasonably might need to work with time and again, then they will sure as hell cheat you when you are paying for it. Sorta like marrying the woman who was cheating on her husband with you!
It seems that many of your expensive problems were blamed on the root cause of injectors, but unless there was a weird electrical problem, or fuel contamination, there is almost no plausible explanation for all of them failing at once. I smell a scam.
And, as to your Lexus driving friends,...they are driving a Lexus, not a Jaguar! If a Lexus makes you happy, then it would be a mistake to own a Jaguar.

Yea, what a rip off. If all the injectors stuck open, that means none of them were bad. The odds of all 8 failing at the same time is lottery odds.

I agree somewhat about the injectors; the whole episode was confusing. Essentially, they replaced almost my entire fuel system. I was told the oil pan was more than just the gasket, however. I do handle the toll tag on hctra website. The problem is that the "E-Z plate" doesn't work where there are gates so I have to go out of my way to make sure I don't find myself at a toll gate (before I-10, north of Briar Forest).
I hope they are not ripping off the warranty company, but you never know. They do good work; it's just the amount of time it takes that's maddening.
What? So you're saying you're used to going through the EZ Tag lines with your regular car, and all of a sudden you're not comfortable that you'll find the EZ Tag lane with your loaner.
