'12 XF Supercharged Wins at Autoweek/ZF Fantasy Camp
Just got my latest issue (June 25th) of Autoweek, what a pleasant surprise on page 30.
The participants :
'12 Jaguar XF Supercharged
'12 BMW 328i
'12 Lexus LS460
'12 Cadillac CTS-V
'12 Chrysler 300SRT8
'12 Ford Taurus SHO
'12 Hyundai Equus Ultimate
'12 Hyundai Genesis 5.0
'12 Mercedes E550 4matic
'12 Audi A6 3.0
'12 Audi A7 3.0
'12 BMW 550i XDrive
"Fantasy Campers handed the top honors for interior and exterior to the Jaguar XF"
"the Caddy bested the rest on the track....the Jag proved pesky...coming in just 0.3 percentage point back"
"In the end, with the points weighted more heavily toward the driving portion, the Jag ran away with the overall win..."
The Jag they tested was white, I think that made all the difference!

I just read the comparison this morning. It wasn't an in depth comparo. Very bland if you ask me but OUR car did come out on top! One thing that I thought was interesting was that the editors said they wouldn't have given the interior to the Jag because of the infotainment system being slow but the drivers didn't mind. That's the same way I feel as well. It's not like you use it every second of your drive so it's not a big deal but a lot of people do have serious issues with it.

No 2012 M5 no 2012 E63 I like that Jag better or the same as these two but they do make a compelling case against the XF until it comes time to pay.
2012+ M5 does 0-60 in 3.6 seconds with the SMG transmission

2012 BMW M5 First Drive - Motor Trend
2012+ E63 does 0-60 in 3.7 as does the S6

The up coming XFR-S better be sub 4 seconds to 60 or it will not sell well.

I find BMW to be very sneaky with their hp numbers. I think it was Autocar.... one of those UK car publications. They ran dyno tests and M5 come out @610, when rated at 560hp. No wonder, 0-60 is so good.
The new 3 series puts out significantly more hp than advertised.
XFR-S might do well against the CURRENT German rivals, until the all wheel drive E63 AMG arrives very soon. The 0-60 projected at 3.4.
