My wife has been pretty happy with her XF since her purchase in Aug '13 (except for a few rattles which she was able to fix herself by snapping parts back in place).


Two days ago the engine quit when she was on the freeway. Jaguar towed the car and had it fixed the following day.


The problem was a Charge Air Cooler hose to a resonator clip that popped off. The dealer also said the battery was dead and they recharged it.


Apparently there is a recall for the hose clamp.


We never got a notice from Jaguar regarding the recall.
