Default 2009 4.2 V-8, oil in intake manifold

I recently had to remove the intake manifold from my 2009 XF, with the n/a 4.2 engine, so I could replace the coolant hose that loops under it. I set the intake manifold on it's back, on the workbench, so I could remove the original gaskets, and then install the new ones (they clip in place, on the manifold). When I flipped the manifold back over, oil started dripping out of the passenger side, front port of the intake manifold. All told, about 1-2 ounces of oil poured out. I cleaned out what I could, and re-installed the manifold. Car is running fine.

Is this indicative of a PCV issue? Is there something that I need to clean out?

TIA!

Another "bump"......Nobody has any ideas?

And for what it's worth, I soaked the PCV valve and the hose that connects it to the intake, in soapy water, cleaning them out. Don't know if that had any positive impact on the situation, but they did exhibit traces of oil residue.
