2009 differental free replacement
i heard Jaguar is replacing rear differental because of contaminated fluid is this true? And will Jaguar replace the diffs. out of warrenty? I have a 2009 XF 4.2L SC 58489 miles and i believe my Diff. is going out hearing noise from back there and getting worse. If anyone have a direct number to Jaguar please can i have the number so i can call them
Resurrecting an old thread. I just found out today I need a new rear diff due the the seals blowing and worn pinion as a result of excessive silicon carbide left in the diff during the manufacturing process. My is an early 2009, built in Dec '07. It only has 48,500 miles on it and was purchased as a CPO in August of '12. This is a known defect with a TSB and NHTSA file number, TB-K-035 and 10041824 respectively. I don't know why Jaguar would have sold this car on without first fixing a known defect. I've contact my dealer service rep and he said he will contact his factory rep. We'll see if Jaguar (JLRNA) stand behind their vehicles.
