Hello all,my grandson biught the above XF last week and was going well untill a couple of days ago when he got a low battery message,so low that I removed the battery and harged it which started the car and he managed to drive it home with a startling array of dash warnings.I swapped the battery from his S type (same battery and the car started fine with no issues and was locked and left for 8 hours and then when he jumped in it gave low battery warning again so presumably something is draining the battery while the car is inactive.
My questions for your perusal are
qPresumably a good place to start is a brand nee battery.
2Said brand new battery will need the BCM resetting?
Any recomendations for a code reader than can do this.
3.Go into the infotainment screen and turn everything off as he has been having aplay to set everything to his own preference and may have activated a feature which is draing the battery.
