2009 Jaguar XF Supercharged
Hi I recently purchased a jaguar xf supercharged with 100k and don’t really know to much about its history but have loved and enjoyed it for a couple weeks and now its starting to give me some complications.
The car start and runs smoothly but once put into drive the screen tells me to put foot on the brake and put into park. Once I start to drive the restricted performance/ check engine light comes on at 2/3 rpm. Then seems to lose power.
These are the codes that come up:
P0302 cylinder 2 misfire
P0304 cylinder 4 misfire
P0306 cylinder 6 misfire
P0308 cylinder 8 misfire
P0300 random/ multiple misfire detected
Please help

Welcome to the forum.
Those are misfires all on the same engine bank. It's the left side, drivers side on left-hand-drive cars.
Similar cases reported here on the forum before, turned out to be a collapsed catalytic converter on that bank. The collapsed cat chokes the exhaust flow, which backs up the exhaust gases on that bank and causes misfires.
I would take it to an exhaust shop, have them unbolt the downpipe and look at the condition of the cat inside.
You could also try tapping the catalyst with a plastic hammer, see if it's rattling or making funny noises.

Rule number 1. Dont ever buy a used high mileage Jaguar, or any European luxury vehicle without a documented service history. Get a full pre purchase inspection performed as well. Catalytic Converter or failing Oxygen sensors could be causing the issue.
