Does anybody know why the car is turning off right after turning it on? Engine fires up for 1 second and then completey turns off. ive done it 10 times already. its not staying on.
Whats the culprit here ?

 

Just guessing, but have you checked your battery? Something similar happened to me last time the battery went out in my XF SC.

 

the battery is charged, but i think a short is draining it. this car had flood damage and i fixed it. replaced the BCU by the passenger kick panel. i think the flood shorted something and its got a constant low drain in the battery.

 

the car was running fine after i fixed it. it just started doing this. the battery might be fried i guess

 

I had the exact same on a 4.2 XJR once. I had forgotten to replace the oil filler cap, simple as that. Certainly worth checking I reckon.
