Default 2010 Jaguar XF stalled while driving

My 2010 Jag XF stalled on me while driving. When I tried to restart it it just was making a long start sound. Eventually it started but cut back off. Trying to start it eventually ran my battery dead so I recharged it but it’s still not moving when I get it started through the long starting ! Someone said it’s my fuel pump! How would I know and where is the fuel pump located? How can I troubleshoot to see?

Welcome to the forum chantelleryelle,

I've moved your question from X260 (XF 2015 onwards) to X250 (XF 2007 - 2015) forum. This is the place to post technical questions about your model.

It certainly sounds like a lack of fuel. The fuel pump is in the fuel tank. It will be protected by a fuse and relay and this is the first thing to check. Members with the same model wil,l be able to help with relevant fuse box location and fuse number.

Please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some information about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice about posting to the forum.

Graham

People may well want car details!

Also, what OBD codes are there?

couple good writeups on the x250 pages - just search it. fuel filter under rear seat might be an issue. trouble code scanner might be your friend here.. on top of primary low pressure tank pump, your engine may have secondary (high pressure) pumps mounted on engine. if you do find a blown fuse, next question is why..
