Default 2010 XF 5.0 Coolant Loss

I have been experiencing coolant loss since I purchased my Jaguar about 2 years ago. The water pump has been replaced, and there are no puddles, drips or streaking on the garage floor, under-body engine panel or the engine itself to indicate a cracked plastic valve, leaking coolant hose or bad gasket. There is no smell of coolant when the engine is running, and no indication of dripping in the exhaust. And no coolant in the oil. So I am puzzled (that is an understatement!)

I would think this could be a common problem, or perhaps someone who has been on this forum would remember another post similar, but I cannot seem to find it.

Any ideas or help would prove useful!

BTW - took it to a jaguar specialist, who said change the water pump. Which has just been done recently. And does not seem to be leaking.

Thanks in advance!

I too am half-way through fixing a mysterious coolant leak from my 5.0 S/C 2010 - I don't know if a normally aspirated 5.0 has this particular coolant tube that caused me trouble.

After trying stop leak I finally bought some UV dye for the radiator (about $8) and a UV pen from Amazon ($10) - found the leak behind the engine from the hose that goes from the throttle body to the crossover manifold behind the engine. The actual leak was from where the hose connected to the manifold - it's plastic and it fell apart when I tried to remove it - I am replacing it now. Mine had a burnt coolant smell but no drips on the floor - it was burning off before it got under the car. I hope this is not your problem because you have to pull the supercharger to fix it which is not really all that difficult especially with all the help available here but still a pain. I have done it twice now - once to replace the S/C coupler and now for this leak.

I will defer to more experienced folk here but if you have more that 50K on the car and it's S/C I would consider doing the coupler and S/C oil while you have it all apart. Some here would suggest you replace lots of coolant hoses too but I am not sure about that.
Hope this helps.

Thanks, I will try this. Mine is not supercharged, so hopefully somewhat simpler.
