Default 2010 XFR 1/8 track times and a 1/4 Dragy slip.

First time racing cars at the track in 20 yrs. But the old gal made me proud. This is an 1/8 mile track so no quarter mile times except from Dragy. It's a 2010 XFR, complete interior, 4520lbs with driver and 1/2 tank of pump gas. Drove it 60 miles one way to track. Had lots of traction issues (e-diff not holding pos when stomped from an idle) but it did get a good hook at least once! 7.61@95mph. Attached Is the time slip. Dragy was nearly dead on showing 7.62@95mph. Best validated Dragy 1/4 mile so far is 11.65@121mph. No laughing at the reaction time... been 20yrs lol

Dragy best validated 1/4

stock intake/drop in K&Ns/exhaust stock except no name x pipe I added. I do have exhaust cutouts which sound great but I close them to run. Upper and lower pulley and AlphaJag tune. I added an additional air to water intercooler radiator inline and upgraded the pump. Car is totally complete (some people remove seats/spare/anything to get rid of weight). We haven't maximized my boost limits yet. So I think we have some room to improve.

Awesome. Thinking of doing alpha jag at some point but I think I’m going to run meth injection also.

Alex has been awesome to work with. And his tunes no doubt work, and I look at all the data logs and the afr and timing are great. He is very knowledgable. Im pretty happy with the results so far!
meth injection is interesting... wonder how much it will add?

Congratulations, nice numbers. I am not about to laugh at your reaction times as I would be fortunate to do that well since it’s been 22 years since I have been on the tree. Do you have any pictures of your additional intercooler? I have been thinking about adding one if I do the top pulley change even though I am planning to install my Meth injection kit I already have. It’s good to hear you have had good luck with your AlphaJag tune. I am fairly local to him and only heard about him tuning our cars after I had ready bout a Viezu tune from Eurotoys.

The IC upgrade is the same for all Jaguar models. Here is my install along with the up-rated Bosch IC pump swap.
IC Upgrade

I have a 2014 XJR but things are very similar to the XF.

Thanks for the link. I was aware of that larger one as an upgrade of the stock front intercooler and pump. From what the OP posted it sounds like an additional intercooler has been installed inline working along with the stock one. If this is correct I am interested in how it is plumbed in and how it is working. I also have a GTO/Monaro with an aftermarket Magnuson supercharger kit. I have replaced the front mount intercooler, which is similar in size to the stock one that our 5.0 S/C engines have, with a dual pass Intercooler mounted lower and it has been more effective and cost substantially less than the current options for our cars. I’m interested in an out of the box ideas to assist in cooling the IATs.

Sorry it took me a bit to reply. You are correct my aux cooler is an add on. I priced the bigger factory aux radiator and frankly was ashamed they want that much for one. I think mine was about $330-$350 and then $70 for an aux fan and thermostat. My intake temps are awesome even on 90 degree days at the drag track. I will.include pics.

The aux radiator

Removed front cover

Used aluminum.stock and polished to make mounts

Rmoved horns and relocated

Fan assembly

New pump

Modified the rubber mount cut it then used a clamp to resecurr it to the new one worked great

Horns fit great here and cant be seen from front

Used a few of the shrink wrap hose clamps.

I mounted the aux radiator upside down and used the drain as an air bleed valve. I use one single wire tie at the bottom.of the pump to ensure it remained secure enough to hold the weight. I also went to the local parts store and bought several 3/4 pre-bent hoses of various design. Made the deal with the manager to bring back any unused hoses. I think I cut 2 of them so all the installation is pre-bent and looks factory with no crimped hoses due to radius turns. Took the untouched hoses back so it roughly cost me.17 dollars to complete the plumbing.
