Default 2011 Jaguar XF console issues

I have a Jaguar XF that I was using a Bluetooth adapter Bovee 1000 that plugs into IPOD connector. It worked well for years. All of a sudden it stopped working, got hot and I disconnected it. The USB port in front now only works if something is plugged into the IPOD port which of course I can't do. Anyone know what causes this? The power port does not work and the whole console is kinda flaky. Car works flawless and only has 37,000 original miles. Do you recommend me fiddling this myself or take it to Jaguar?

Thanks

The car is notorious for having rain leak in. Either from the sunroof drains or more likely from the fresh air port. Pull some trim and check under the floor carpets for water. The iPod and BT modules are under the left front seat. See if they are wet and damaged.

Yep check for water under the carpet. Mine was coming from the condensate drain at the bottom of the climate control unit. Killed the bluetooth and ipod modules.
