Default 2011 XF Ignition Coils - questions

Slight misfire on my 5.0 and was told that the coils were likely suspect - 138k miles -
As with most things I see pricing all of the map and wondered if anyone had any experience with some of the (cough) more popularly-priced versions. I'm seeing prices from $25 up to $120 each and would (like most of us) rather not pay more than necessary.
I've searched here and not found much about ignition coils - removal/testing etc. - any tips/hints/tricks/wisdom to share?

Is the check engine light on? Go to your local parts store and ask them to read any engine codes.
