I drove out last Friday morning from Tulsa OK and headed for the Atlantic Ocean. 2,853 miles later I pulled back into my driveway at 0500 hrs. CST this morning. Stopped in several cities and visited family and friends from my younger years. The trip was short but filled with quality connections.
I did not experience one issue with the XF. Engine oil level is still showing full and no drips on the garage floor this morning. What a gem of a vehicle this XF is. She DOES like to run and the faster the better. For the last 200 miles I hooked up with a Dodge Challenger and we ran 95 m.p.h. on the highway back to Tulsa. Did we hit three digits during that period? Of course we did. He must have had a radar detector because I sure didn't. Never saw one Trooper during that period and I am glad about that. Hardly any traffic at all at those hours of the morning. Not even many semi's running the roads. They were all parked and sleeping in the rest areas.
I can still say "I have zero points on my driving record" so it's back to old man driving. What a car. Definitely built to run at the front of the line.
Engine oil/filter change time.
Have a great day all!
Very pleased with the m.p.g. considering all of the stops I made. Clock is inaccurate. One hour fast (different time zone).
