Hi guys-

Just picked up a Stratus Grey 2011 XFR a few weeks ago and had some questions about what everyone is using to clean the wheels. Specifically what wheel brush seems to work best. My old brush is rather large and doesnt fit well to really get into the wheel wells. Any recommendations?

What brake dust cleaner/spray are you using?

Appreciate the help

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new ride.

Here's what I use for cleaning wheels on my 2 Jags:

DI Brushes EZ Detail Brush - Full Size
DI Brushes Horse's Hair Wheel Brush
SONAX Wheel Cleaner Full Effect - 500 ml

SONAX is available online at most webstores. However if you're having trouble locating the brushes, this is where I shop:

Congratulations on the XFR.
You'll find you have to clean the wheels - a lot... Plenty of brake dust...

Yes. Consider installing ceramic pads. Almost no dust and what dust there is blends in with the wheel color.

I run Akebono pads on my 2005 STR with great results.

I have used a microfiber brush purchased at pep boys but it was poor quality although it worked well, but the foam insert inside the outer microfiber was glued to the metal handle and came off on the second use. I then bought some synthetic bristle brushes that work ok from the inner rim wheel but the bristles are breaking down. I find that dawn soap works well and forba quick cleaning of light dust , clorox wipes. Still looking for a good brush.

Thanks for the advice, loving the Jag so far. I came from a Jeep SRT8 so def understand the amount of brake dust. Might look at going the ceramic pad way to help.
