Has anyone done the side air vent chrome upgrade? I bought some on ebay and the dealer installed them. I think it really breaks up the mono-colour side slab and really looks great. Will post a pix soon.

I can't remember anyone doing an upgrade to a 2012 models. I thought about doing it, but something about the shape of it in chrome.

These are different that the pre-2012 side vents. Is the lower part brushed chrome? Like the red jaguar center wheel caps.

 

I didn't care for the previous style, but they look good on your car.

 

Mine came with them installed. I agree that it helps break up the side. Looks great.

I noticed they are coming out with quite a few carbon fiber pieces as well in the 2012 accessory catalogue. Would be good to see some photos of those installed on cars as well...

Has anyone seen the 2013 carbon fiber side vents or hood louvers? They also now have carbon fiber side mirror covers.

Wonder how these would look....

I'm not sure the carbon would work on a black car but they'd probably look great on a white car. On a black car it might look like they are primed or mismatched paint. Similar to a black car with black rims.

 

I can see your point. Some pictures of Audi R8s with carbon fiber side blades attached here...Black doesn't look too bad. What I like about it - is that it breaks it up a bit. Not sure how it would work on the XFR though...

I did this upgrade too this past week.

 

I've had them since day one along with the mirror covers, I think it does break up the color some what and adds a little style.. IMHO...
