Default 2012 XF Inner Door Lock Stopped Working

Hi all

The inside rear passenger door lock has become very loose and the door only opens from the outside when the car is locked. When the car is open, it will not open.

Can anyone advise what this may be and what parts I would need?

Many thanks!

The cable from the inside door opener to the locking mechanism is stretched. Replacements are available.

In the US, I would try Rock Auto, first. You may need to go to SNG Barratt, or whatever is local in the UK. On the XJ8's you have to take the window & rail off to get to the lock; PIA; not sure about XFs. Try Google. Maybe a YouTube.
