Default 2012 XFSC trunk (boot) trim

If you have a 2012 XF or XFSC, please do me a favour and tell me what the top of the trunk (trunk roof) is covered in. I had a quick look at mine yesterday, and while the sides and floor are nice fluffy carpet, the top (underside of the parcel shelf) is just painted metal. The side trim just ends awkwardly so I wondered if a piece of trim/carpeting is missing. If you do, could you snap a pic so I can show it to the dealership if necessary.

Thanks

Yes there is a trim panel that is held in place with plastic fasteners.

Many thanks. Is there any chance you could snap a picture so I can show the dude at the dealership. Knowing my luck they won't have another 2012 model there to compare with. I could send you a personal message with my contact info except I can't seem to find a way to do that on this sight.

Any XF on the lot should have the lid liner.

Yes, the parts department can find it easily.

Thanks for the info, but it's not the inside of the trunk lid that I meant. It's inside the actual trunk that is unfinished on mine, directly behind the light fitting. It's the part you see if you stick your head inside the trunk, looking at the back of the rear seats and then look directly up.

Nope, nothing is there. Just steel frame work.
