Default 2013 Jaguar XF 3.0L V6 AWD

I’m looking to buy a 2013 Jaguar XF that has about 70k miles on it. The owner claims to have had the engine replaced at 60k miles due to driving on a blown head gasket. If her service history papers check out what else should I look out for or expect to fix Xinhua the near future. It is sounding like too good of a deal and would appreciate the feedback.

13000. It has been maintained extraordinarily well and looks even better than the photos. The coolant hoses have been replaced as long as the water pump when the engine was swapped out. I’m just worried about other problems like the transmission or anything related to suspension that I should be on the look out for.

Na, that stuff is pretty robust, so don't think there are any worries there. Seems like the big problems with the cooling have been avoided with the work you mention.

BTW, any reason given for the Blown head gasket? Most have said the 3.0 do not have the same overheating problems as the 5.0 even with the same designed coolant system

I was told was it was a faulty head gasket. The engine was replaced under warranty. I haven’t heard anything like that on these forums though, usually it’s one of the plastic pieces failing that leads to a blown head gasket. Going to have an Indy shop look at it closer on Tuesday and I hope everything checks out!

I would check to see if it was replaced with a new or a used engine. Sometimes people swap in used that might have 50k miles from another car first

Worth having a thorough inspection done from someone who knows what they are looking for. If all checks out then you might be finding a very low mileage model...

Sorry to hear that

Either the oil change was messed up (did you have oil in it) / they broke something else while doing it. Or you were duped and sold a faulty car. Let us know what you learn.
The dealer can pull all the codes incl time sequence to show exactly what happened when.
