2013 XF Alarm Not Chirping

2013 XF Alarm Not Chirping
The alarm chirp on my 2013 XF does not sound when locking/unlocking the doors, or when the alarm is triggered. The alarm apparently works as evident by the flashing lights...but no sound. I am interested in any recommendations
not sure about 2013 cars, but prior to 2013, the alarm will not chip wen locking the car from the door handle. it will chirp when pressing the lock button on the key twice (horn will sound)

thanks for the quick response, what I failed to mention in my question is that I was referring to is using my key fob to lock, once or twice I get a flashing light confirmation that is locked but no sound also when alarm is actiwaited same think only lights flashing no sound, any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

On both of my old XFS and XFR the alarm was the horn(s) blasting away about once a second.
The easiest way to trigger the alarm is to put a window down, lock the car then reach in through the open window.
