Default 2014 Jaguar XF 250 V6 3.0 s/c supercharger oil

Okay, so I got the car all put back together it started everything is fine I just wanted to know about that little plug in the front of the supercharger am I supposed to fill that with oil as well? If so how much am I supposed to put in that?

You sure it is at the front and not the back of the engine ?

No - the only hole you fill with oil is at the rear of the supercharger.

True and looks like this



Fill/drain plug is 3 inch down . next to blue paper towels one of the photos you will see it slightly protruding after i had loosen it of a bit . middle photo

Nice work - not sure I'd want to do it with the supercharger in situ in the XF engine bay, I probably wouldn't have any skin on my hands left by the end of it

A pita of a job but can be done as i have proven without the removal of the supercharger , it is recommended that this is changed at 50k miles then there after , by the time the car is 5 years old a good bit of the oil will have evaporated and be smelly dark brown gunk. not many have changed theirs on here yet profess to be enthusiasts
