Default 2014 XF Wiper Blade Replacement

Went to the dealer today for maintenance and they said I needed new wiper blades. No problem, my car is 2 years old and they've never been changed ... EXCEPT .... $97???!!!!

So, I been reading some threads and I guess I need to buy OEM arms/blades since my model has the fluid coming from there ... is this correct?

Also, I have the instructions on how to put the wipers in service mode, but other than that I'm assuming it should be pretty simple right?

Thanks.

Changed the blades (I think $19 each at Autozone) on my 2015 XF is about 45 seconds.

Got the Denso Beam wipers from Rock Auto - Exact fit and have been working great - About $25 for the pair

Default jaguar XF 2014

I have a jaguarXF made in 2014, Need some help.
The problem, the front windscreen wiper has a mind of its own, when i turn it on it stops by itself, at different points. Sometimes, it stops at 45 degrees and sometimes at 90.
I have tried changing the wiper motor, but the problem still persists. i have also tried to change the front windshield wiper park position switch but no luck.
If you have any ideas, help would be appreciated!

Could be water ingress in your front CJB, that can cause all sorts of weird electrical issues including wipers acting up. There's a tech bulletin from Jaguar JTB-00377.

I have had a similar problem for years. If I shut down the engine and fail to lock the car the next time I start the car the wipers start. The only solution I've found is to shut down the engine and restart. Repositioning the wiper stalk does not work. The wipers continue to operate. The wipers stop at shutdown immediately and do not return to the normal "off" position. Upon restart you must activate the wipers and then return to the "off" position. This was an intermittent (monthly) problem 10 years ago. It is now a constant. Every time I fail to lock the car at shutdown the blades will activate at the next startup. I have trained myself to hit the lock and unlock buttons on the fob every time I get to the car. I'm convinced it's some sort of electronic control problem but I don't know of any fix.
