Default 3.0d Launch control?

Good Evening everybody,

I have a 2010 XF 3.0d with 240hp.
It has the whole dynamic mode, sport mode, trac dsc stuff.
I was wondering if this model has a launch control function aswell?
I cant find anything in the user manual

Would be great if it had

thanks in advance for all replies

If I'm grinding it out from a stop light, I simply put my car in "S" drive and turn on the dynamic button, stomp on the gas and smile as the traffic in my rearview mirror disappears.

The wheels spin just for a sec but the traction control kicks in and all is good. I don't bother with paddle shifting as I feel the tranny does a better job of knowing when to maximize shifts than I do.

Of course, I'm driving an "R" so things may be a little different. Also, check your posted horse power...I think there is a typo

haha, well when you have the R model, 510hp?, it doesn't matter if your using launch control or not. There aren't very many people who have cars as quick as yours
Well it says 177kw in my car papers. Everywhere I look there are 240 and 275 hp diesels. Here in Germany they also sold a "special edition" cheap model, without all the bling and only 211hp from the same 3.0 liter twin turbo.

You say you dont paddle shift, but your in dynamic mode. In my manual it says that in dynamic mode the car will not upshift automatically, at all, and you have to use the paddles.
Using the paddles is fun

I believe what the manual should say is the car will not up-shift automatically if in manual shift mode (you have to hit a paddle to get it into that mode). If you don't touch the paddles it will be fully automatic in any shifter selection.

Oops...didn't even noticed you're in Germany. Sorry about the h.p. thing...did not even see that you're in a diesel.

Also, in the dynamic mode, the car does upshift if left in 'drive' or 'sport' but my understanding is if using the paddles in dynamic the car will not automatically upshift and you can rev the tach past the redline. I've never tried it, but that is my understanding.
