Default ACC retrofit to facelift XF

Hello world! I installed adaptive cruise control to my 2013 XF 2.0GTDI and it works great! I got all parts used from ebay, only radar cradle was new. Installation was quite easy, all wiring already exist in all facelift XF. Then i activate and calibrate ACC. It was not difficult too. Just drive about 15 minutes till ACC indicator stop flashing. Then i recode ACC to activate stop and go function. It works ok too. Now ACC doesn't turn off at speed less then 25mph. It stops the car in traffic jam, then i just press accelerator and cars continue chaising another car. Great mod! If any questions - welcome!

This is amazing. Where do you guys recode modules? Can it be done on pre-facelift? I have ACC and would also like to mod it for full stop function, as well as reducing the follow distance and default to shortest on activation. Same with dynamic mode, having it stay on between restarts by default, like snow mode. This is coded in some module but I don't see it in SDD.

stop and go works perfect on facelift. it is not tested on pre-FL. if you have sdd - we can test it.

This is really cool. Do you have a full parts list to share to do this?

of course:
CX23-9G768-AC — radar (you need slim one with hs-can bus. Other part numbers are compatible too, but needs to reflash)
C2z12991 radar cradle
C2z1491 LH buttons in dash. RH/LH are different, but works both.

C2z13445 buttons in steering wheel
C2z16176 R-sport bumper grille for acc

Would be really interested to hear about that reprogramming.

Great stuff 0n0t0le! We appreciate your sense of adventure and the inspiration to have go ourselves. My first project will likely be retrofitting blind spot detection but ACC is definitely on the list. One question... what's special about the R-Sport grill? Why is it required? (I have an MY15 X250 Diesel S Luxury). Cheers

Nice job! How do you reflash the radar module? and can you use the same module from a Volvo for e.g. AG9N-9G768-BC and reflash it

?

Hello, I’ve been desperate to get adaptive cruise control, even considered selling my car as it’s the one thing I need with such a long commute for work, all this information is helpful and I’d buy the parts right away if that is all that’s needed, but I need some help understand the software recoding bit of it, what is needed from SDD perspective? Is there a special recode on how that works or someone I need to contact?

many thanks,

@insomniac_driver

I suggest you contact 0n0tole directly, he'll probably do it for you over TeamViewer.

Failing that, I'd be willing to do it once I've spoken to him to make sure I'm not stepping on his toes.

Great modification, I am in the process of this upgrade and keen to know what parameters you changed in the ccf. I am aware this post is years ago but keeping my fingers crossed anyone can help with the parameters, specially the stop and go ( Queue assist if I may put it )

I've collected the parts and I'm about to perform this retrofit on my 2015 3.0DS Sportbrake.

What CCF parameters need to be changed to enable Adaptive Cruise and Queue Assist?
