Default Alarm Problems

During the night the alarm on my car keeps going off at random. I've checked and all the doors, trunk, and hood are closed. It's bothering both me and my neighbors. Can anyone tell me how to disarm the alarm until I get it fixed?
I have a XF Supercharged 2009

Not sure but disconnecting the battery should do it.
Just a pain to do every night.

Does it sound if you only press the locking button once instead of twice?

Mine was doing the same thing. I originally thought it was the motion sensor sticking out the center channel speaker but it turned out to be a battery slowly going bad.

The alarm was detecting the voltage drop in the battery and assumed it was due to a door being opened. To restate that, when the door is opened the interior lights come on which causes for a small voltage drop in the battery. The alarm is set up to detect that voltage drop as a queue that a potential thief just opened your door or trunk.

Replacing the battery fixed my issue.

If you pull the codes you can get the list of what caused the most recent 10 alarm incidents. You may find it's a faulty switch on one of the doors, hood or trunk.

I had the codes pulled today and there were a few misfires and a vacuum pump leak. According to my mechanic the leak can cause the alarm to go off, it would also explain the restricted performance warning that comes up sometimes. It shouldn't be too expensive to fix
