Default Allisport Intercooler Measurements vs OEM from 2011 XFR

Just received my bigger intercooler from Allisport yesterday. Thanks to anyone/everyone on the forum who pointed out that you could save a LOT of money by buying it directly from Allisport, rather than paying the huge markups from resellers like Paramount, etc. (some of whom were too lazy to even remove the Allisport sticker from the top). This intercooler is sold by Allisport for the F-Type, but I've had confirmation from multiple forum members whom I trust and elsewhere (not Allisport directly, though) that it'll also fit my XFR (and other Jags). The mounting points also appear at first glance to line up perfectly with OEM.

I haven't installed it yet, and since I don't really remember seeing any calculable direct comparison info to our stock intercoolers, other than being told simply that it's 30% larger than OEM, I thought I'd post some pictures to provide some of that info. If someone already did this, sorry for wasting a thread, but, like I said, I don't remember seeing it anywhere. However, even though I'm too tired to take any incredibly detailed measurements (volume, distance from core frame to fins, etc.), quick math leads me to believe that it's probably larger than OEM by more than 30%.

Most of the pix are self-explanatory, but beyond that, it feels very solid, it arrived extremely quickly from England (I ordered it on Friday and received it on Monday... yes, three days later), and it was packaged as well as anything I've ever received, including ridiculously high-end A/V equipment. I paid £641.98 total (£560.00 for product plus £81.98 for shipping rom England to Atlanta, with no up-front tax), which translates to ~$791 right now. I also think Allisport must also own a bubble wrap factory, but whatever the case, I'm appreciative. Let me know if you have any easy measurement questions before I install it.

I might still install a smaller front-mount heat exchanger in front of it (maybe even with fans), but won't know until I take some measurements with the Allisport installed (which will be at least a few weeks from now).

Allisport Intercooler

Allisport vs OEM from top

Allisport vs OEM from side

Allisport thickness measured from top: ~48mm

OEM thickness measured from top: ~25mm

Allisport: 9.3 lbs.

OEM: 5.736 lbs. (it's possible that it still had some coolant left in it, but if it did, it wasn't much)
