Hello All,

I'm new here and joined specifically to find answers to issues around the XF. I wll be taking delivery of a 2011 Portfolio in a few days and wanted to quell my fears of reliability. I've owned BMW, Audi, Volvo, and Acura among others. The German cars are not without their issues, but it seems (by default) Jag is put in a reliability category well below those makes. Regardless, I love the styling and wanted to try something different.

What I'm hoping is that for every complaint I run across, there are hundreds of owners with no complaints at all, right?!

So I want to hear about the cars that have been running like champs and provided years of driving enjoyment and reliability. They're out there right???

 

I liked my 2010 XF Premium Lux SO much I traded up to a custom 2011 Supercharged. Pictures in my album. Check the sticky note "Where are all the XF's?" at the top of the page. BMW's and Benz's are boring to look at, controls too complicated. Just drive it.

 

The only faults I experienced were the transmission selector problem, twice, which most 2009 models suffered from, and a false check engine light fault code jaguar eventually tracked down to a software glitch which was fixed with a reflash when they figured it out.

I have 25,000 miles of varied driving. The XF is a brilliant drive and fully as reliable as the German makes it competes with. The jaguar costs less and drives better as a road car. If you want a track car buy a Porsche.
