Here is how I fixed mine:

 

While I didn't have a door rattle when I first got my XF, I did have a blown speaker. Used this video (or an earlier one?) to see how to remove the door card. Very simple once I could see what was needed. That first screw in the upper corner is a hidden secret.

BTW I wrapped some of the cables while I had it off just in case. All good for some time now. Thanks.

 

Glad my old video helped you. It's one of the main reasons I do videos, in the hope that guys out there can help themselves instead of relying on a techie to do everything. Their rates are alarming these days. They are now charging £120 per hour here in SA. Luckily my Jag dealer gives me 30% off on labor and 10% on parts because they know me so well. I often just pop in and say Hi to the guys and have a coffee. I'm still waiting for them to let me film and review cars at their dealership though - working on it The main thing that's going to cause a rattle is that window mechinism cable. The conduit is rock hard and when they touch, it's not good at all - the most annoying sound on the planet both when you close you door and hear that rattle and while you're driving. Playing loud music also caused it to rattle. Just awful. Now it's so silky quiet
