Default Arden exhaust

I'm a new member though I've owned several Jaguars in the past. I bought a 2010 XFR and looking for an aftermarket exhaust. I tend to be a bit aggressive in the type of sound I'm looking for. The sound clips on utube are somewhat helpful but I prefer to listen to it in person. I've owned several M5's and had the Eisenmann race exhaust. Loved it!

I like the Arden exhaust for the XFR though many of you like the Mina. I welcome for anybody to chime in especially those living in Southern California. I live in san diego. If possible I'd like to meet in person anyone that has any type of aftermarket exhaust (spires, quicksilver, Mina, Arden, etc)

Also, I'm realizing no one carries lowering springs for the XFR except Arden. Lowers the car 30mm/1.18". Anybody installed them?

Might be ordering the stainless steel mesh grills, upper and lower, from Arden. Anybody out there that has them?

Arden is expensive but appears to be of high quality.

Is there a XFR/XKR Southern California club or meeting place in Southern California?

Thank you! Tom

Which M5 did you have? E39/E60 or both??

I'm considering moving to the XFR myself. How are you liking it as compared to the M? I test drove one and loved it. I could see myself shopping for one this next year..

It looks like Paramount has an exhaust that seems to just be a muffler delete. Have you looked at it? Sounds like an animal if that's what you like in an exhaust. My M5 has a muffler and secondary cat delete. I like it loud when the sound is right. I would consider deleting the resonator with an x-pipe and deleting the mufflers if/when I get a XFR.

TZ, I had 3 e39's and a e60, 6MT. All with eisenmann race exhausts, kw coil overs and plus 1 wheels. Enjoyed them all! Then I decided to test drive an XFR....wow. Very torquey, very nice styling.

The car is exclusive which is nice but then it's limited on aftermarket products. Arden out of Germany seems to be the leader in mods for jaguars, though expensive, similar to Dinan.

I would like to hear the Paramount exhaust in person, in fact I'd like to hear any of the aftermarket exhausts in person. Again, very few XFR's, very few mods.

Good luck on your potential XFR, you wont reget it. Stay in touch.

I have a full Arden Exhaust which was installed by Jaguar dealer in October 2009 pre delivery to my 2010 XFR so I never experienced the original exhaust. The Arden exhaust sound effect and attention it attracts while driving is just awesome. The build quality for the first set wasn't honestly to my expectations considering the premium I paid.Anyway, the sound justs makes you forget the quality plus its rattle free and well designed to the car. However, I have encountered an accident 8 weeks ago to the rear and the impact damaged the rear left mufflers and manifold backs pipes so I had to change the full system and the quality has improved 100% and the new system was tuned down with more throatier effect. If I plan to buy another Jaguar inthe future Arden will still be my first choice even thought they are quiet expensive.

Thank you XFR-S for your comments. Sorry to hear about the accident but you now have the new and improved exhaust. The complete system is pricey, something like $8000. I'm hoping the cat back exhaust system sounds like what you are describing. I would really like to hear the exhaust in person but that's highly unlikely. I guess I'll just have to order it and hope its what I'm looking for. Again thank you for your response.
