Audio/Video button o touchscreen greyed out
The audio/video button is greyed out on touch screen of 2012 Jaguar XF. If i go into reverse i get the parking sensors display on the touchscreen but no audio and the the touchscreen reboots after putting into drive. So no audio at all
I get the issue where the rear camera sometimes stays on even when I shift to drive. I have to exit the rear camera. Then the audio goes on.
Hi I know there is quite a time from your original post but I had the same problem on my 2014 XF. It greyed out occasionally then became permanent. I've just had it repaired and it was the DAB module at fault which is located under the passenger seat .Part No. CPLA 14F720 BH. Jaguar wanted around £800 but garage fitted a used one for £100 + Labour and diagnostics.
The phone would also not work on hands free with this fault and the sat nav just said initialising.
Hope this is a help to people who have the same problem.

I wanted to knlw before buying a mldule from ebay for £100 that might not help.
got the same issue with the rear camera being totally blank and the phone and radio not being accessible but the rest of the screen options work. Also the satnav is totally dead too.
jaguar said they have no idea about this issue even though it seems common and want £204 just to look before doing anything else.
A individual mechanic said it might be the optical cables running to the rear sensor but don't know why that would cause all the other issues.
Any advice? Need it all sorted for a long journey coming up next week.
Hi Thanks for your reply. It's exactly what the garage found that the DAB module was faulty.
They fitted a refurbished unit and that fixed the problem

I know this thread is old, but I had the exact same problem and mine was also the DAB unit.
To check if this is the case with anyone else experiencing this problem - buy a fiber optic test loop off ebay (£6 or so) and use it to bypass the DAB unit.
You will need to undo the front passenger seat, but this is easy, there are 4 bolts (2 on each of the runners, 1 front and 1 back), and once these are off, just rock the seat back so it tips back into the passenger seat. From here, you need to just pull up the carpet underneath (there will already be a gap to pull it up). which will give you enough access to get to the DAB unit. Unplug the fibre optic connection (the two orange cables) and then plug your test loop into it. Then, try starting the car and check if your AV problem is fixed.
If it is great, you either need a new DAB unit (£100 or so from Ebay), or, if you can live without DAB, just leave the test loop plugged in.
