Being that I work in a dealer setting, our service dept. uses BG products on customer cars several times a day, everyday. In fact, most manufacturers suggest using BG products because they know the product wont damage valve seals and other components on cars.

Also the BG induction service is worth it. Most dealers will have the equipment necessary to do the job as BG suggests.

It's certainly a money-maker for dealers.

That may be true but just because they don’t endorse it doesn’t mean it will do any damage. Toyota, Honda, BMW, GM, Ford, Subaru all endorse them. I personally trust those companies more then I trust Jaguar. Just saying

To play devil's advocate, they may do it just to make money.

Again, being that I work in a dealer setting, trust me. We don’t make much money on an induction service. I can’t speak for every dealer but we charge 69.99 for it. The product cost about 1/4 of that and we are a union shop so the tech makes 1/2 of the total, plus the fact that it holds up a rack that could be making more money. Total we probably make a 12-15 dollar profit

A tech putting an easy $30 in his pocket sounds like incentive to me.

Not to be rude, but it sounds like you have no idea what you are talking about.

For me that is $30 well spent if you will not to have to mess with it myself. To do it right still takes about an hour.
