Default Bonnet hinges

Good day.

I'm whincing in anticipation of your responses.
New XFR owner.
Bonnet hinges raised at the back.

No other damage.

PPS system check on dash.

Most economic way of fixing?

Thanks in advance

John

This feature wasn't on US spec cars so you may not get a lot of insight on here. There is a workshop manual for your car in a Dropbox referenced in several threads on here. Search around. That prob has your answers..

For some reason, the pedestrian protection airbags have deployed which seperate the bonnet hinge bolt.
looks like 2 airbags and bonnet hinges required although some on this forum have repaired the bolt.
If there is a fault with the pedestrian system that has not been fixed I would not plug in the replacement air bags as they may go off.

Get the 2010-2011 XFR Workshop Manual from my Dropbox here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/bet26xniua...kshop.pdf?dl=0
Without checking I am fairly sure the PPS (Pedestrian Protection System) and what/how to replace are fully explained in it.

Here is a thread with similar problems. Look at Ben's entries. He is fighting EXACTLY what your going thru so a private message to him might save you a lot of trouble researching this?
Underhood Airbags Deployed

I think he is still in the process of the repair but has done a good bit of research and work to his car already.
As posted above this forum has little to no information as the US did not get that system.
