Broken Manifold Breather Pipe!
Hey everyone!
I’ve got a Jaguar XF 3.0 V6 and new to the forum, just wondering if I could get a bit of advice. While I noticed a broken pipe in the engine bay and it goes from a t piece to each of the engines V’s at the rear of the engine bay.
It looks like a hard plastic that’s become brittle over time, I touched the other side of the pipe and it crumbled so I’ve now got two open breather pipes on each V.
I’ll probably buy a replacement or make one, it’s basically the one linked below. My question is if they’re just breather pipes to equalise pressure can I just leave them open? Is it an essential part?
Any dangers from not replacing it?
Thank you!
