Default Broken wheel stud

Hi guys after painting my wheels, when putting everything back, one of the wheel nuts doesn't thighten just keeps screwing, i believe the thread in the stud is stripped or the nut, thing is i can't get it out it just keeps screwing both ways.

Any ideas how to fix this and what's the part number of the studs.
Car is a xf-r 2010 rear wheel.

Is it possible to change the stud only, does the hub have to come off.

Which lug nuts do you have? Many of the Jaguar wheels were fitted with a lug nut that has an aluminium cover. What can happen is that the lug nut gets rounded but with the aluminium cover still on. In this instance the cover then just spins around on top of the nut making it look like the nut is going around, but its actually stuck. If this is the case you can rip off the cover and use an 18mm socket to release the nut. If you have something like a ken-grip socket that can help.

And then replace all 20 of those CRAPPY sheet metal covered lug nuts with solid versions!!
Ford and Jaguar have used these same pieces of junk for over 20 years now.
I replaced them on 4 separate cars of my own plus several friends cars. Just too cheap of an improvement to not do.

Thanks guys, yeah i have those pieces of crap, after googling, it's a common thing, ordered 20 pcs solid ones for Toyota.

Hopefully this is the case and the stud is ok.

It wasn't actually stuck or anything it happened when fitting it back, i hand screwed it, went in smoothly but when tightening, sounded strange and just kept spinning.

I saw a hole saw method anyone tried this?

Thanks guys did as suggested removed the cap, but. Ow i found that everything is spinning including the stud, i guess the striations on the hub are gone, i will probably need a new hub.

Does anyone know the part number for land Rover that will fit the xfr, can't find the correct one.

20mm hole saw will allow you to remove the wheel!

Thanks I'll give that a try, since i plan on getting spacers, maybe i can punch out the stud and use a nut and bolt in the hole, put the nut on the back side towards the hub so i don't have to remove it, since the wheel will be fixed to the studs on the spacer, it might be a solution until i can get a new hub.
