Default Can you install heated seats??

Hi.
I have a Jag XF 4.2 V8 without original installed heated seats.

My question is if anyone knows if it is possible to install the system so it will work with the normal activation on the touch screen?

I have asked my local Jaguar workshop and they are not completely sure, and I dont want to pay a lot of hours having them investigate if it is not possible anyway.

So if anyone know please help..

If you disregard cost. The answer is YES. You will have to get a new set of front heated seats, then you must connect to car and have dealer install them and set up computer. If the car is preequiped with wiring to the seats you are in luck if not you will probably need a small extra harnes... its doable but will cost you.

Thank you for the quick reply. It is really good news!! Now I am good with computers so do you know how to setup the car computer after installation? Maybe you can explain it to me? It is just because it sounded like that was there biggest concern when i asked in the workshop.

Thanks again.

I doubt that internal programing can be done with the car computer. You will likely have the dealer install a scanner and do the programming.

With a bit of basic wiring and products like below its pretty simple. The seat skins get pulled back and you lay them in. The wiring is just standard 12v with switches installed somewhere discrete. I had them in my cobra.

Automotive Seat Heaters

The switches give a couple heat levels and are very small so could be mounted on the sides of the center console etc out of sight.
