I have a 2010 XF 5.0 and the battery died. So I pulled out the battery and closed the trunk lid without thinking it was an electric release. Now I can't get into the trunk. I found the cap that covers a key slot to open the trunk but I never got a key for it when I purchased the car second hand. What do I do know.

 

So is the keyblade in your remote blank ?

If you're not aware, when you pop off the side of your remote there is a cut key in it for this type of situation.

I've never used it but I believe there's also a place you can place jumper leads to pop the trunk with a dead battery but it probably wouldn't work without the battery in it to complete the circuit.
