Car won't lock?
Well, I don't know what codes the car is giving off. I don't have the SDD. So my options are to go to that mechanic that has the SDD and told me it was both front doors, after telling me it was the rear passenger door, OR go to the dealer for them to diagnose, OR get my own SDD. Not where to look for the last option.
Yes. I've lubricated all the latches. Here's what I know...
All 4 doors will manually lock and unlock as designed from the inside. The front doors you can pull the handle and it will unlock the door. The rear doors you must unlock it by flipping the lever, pulling on the door handle does not unlock the door.
The driver door will unlock when I have the fob in my pocket and I try to open the door from the outside.
When try to lock with the black button on the handle (double tap) I get one beep followed by two beeps. The fuel door locks.
When I use the fob, I get one beep. Either way, NONE of the doors lock. Also, the lock/unlock buttons below the touchscreen don't work.
The mirrors never fold in, but the puddle lights work.
I don't have the SDD (not sure what that stands for, but I'm sure it's the Jag diagnostic tool) to go through and see what the car is reporting.
Battery is brand new, and terminals were cleaned.

Update. I just got back from the dealer. They said the system had no codes to report and after a while of updating various software, still no locking. They told me they'd have to start looking in the wiring loom. I wasn't prepared to leave the car so I had them button it up and I went on my way.
Now I have no idea what it could be. Probably a short to ground somewhere or maybe something not connected correctly. I really have no idea. The only door I didn't get into was the driver's rear.

Well the error codes include short to ground an open circuit errors so I am not sure what the dealer is saying? If you unplug a module or a door lock the system can detect that and will set a code?
SDD = Symptom Driven Diagnosis which has now been replaced by Pathfinder for cars somewhere in the 2017-2018 range and up. This is the only software the dealers use.
Hope you can find it and post back as this one is a puzzle for sure.

Try holding the key further away from the door when you press the button on the door lock the car. The car might think the key is still inside the car when you are trying to lock it.
If that works you might be able to keep the key in the pocket furthest away from the door when locking the car.
