replaced car battery , didnt store vehicle memory , wont start ,push start button dash lights up radio comes on , starter doesnt engage ,09 xf sc , does car think its in security mode ,any suggestion would be great thanks

Did you try putting your key in the slot before starting it? The car and key might have to sync up before it allows the car to start.

I'm now confused about exactly what has been done to this vehicle.

The information you have posted here is a little different from that in your Intro thread. There you mentioned hooking up a borrowed memory device incorrectly whilst changing the battery.

You will get more helpful replies if you detail precisely what was done and what had prompted you to replace the vehicle battery.

sounds like the new battery doesn't have enough juice? Maybe it has a bad cell?
