Default Check spare tire warning.

I received this warning recently. I have not checked the tire pressure much at all, but when I did, when the warning light came on it was definitely low. It's the space saver tire and the recommended PSI is at 60psi. I was in the 40's. So I pumped it up to 60. The Warning light however continues to go on, when starting the car. I'm assuming I have to manually reset the warning, with SDD, as there is no TPMS in the wheel and there probably is no sensor to measure it anyway. Is this correct?

Possible the battery is dying in the tire sensor. I don't think my 2011 has a sensor in the spare. I always keep a portable 12v air pump in all my cars because there's nothing worse than needing to use your spare and it not having enough air to do the job.

There's no sensor on the spare, must be one of the road wheels giving the warning!

space savers don't have sensors, but the tpms modules for some reason get programmed or revert to having 5 sensors not 4 w/space saver. have you recently gotten sensor/sensors replaced? it ask when programming new sensors if there is a space saver. if answered no it will look the spare tire pressure from a full size spare. If you haven't you need to go to dealer to have programmed back to 4 w/space saver or ignore the warning

Thanks Brutal. I did swap out the right side wheels. That must have caused the TPMS system think there were 5 wheels. Yes, I had 6 wheels in the car as I had the two wheels brought to my wheel refinisher and that must have reset it to 5 wheels. I'll have to get SDD out and reset it.

Brutal,
I did check SDD and it had no spare tire and the only 4 TPMS sensor blocks were available to fill in. Do you have any idea of how to reset this warning light so it doesn't come on anymore?

I would try programming tpms module as new and see what happens . Have you already done a heard reboot of battery too?
Since you have sdd that would be my own line of actions to start with

Dragging this one from the dead as mine started doing this. Spare is a doughnut, did nothing to it as far as changing tires, wheels, battery, etc Not really happy with my local dealer at the moment as my wife's I pace is this close to requiring a lawyer to force a buy back on the lawn art Jaguar can't or refuses to fix so it actually charges so with the same issue going on since April. I don't really want to drive 2 hours to give 'em money to reset so has anyone figured out how to reset this at home. Gotta love nanny features.
