Default Cleaning

So, I've just joined the world of Jaguar, I've had my 2011 XF SC for almost 2 weeks, it's black so its getting dirty.

I've had a friend tell me to avoid automated car washes due to rub marks on the wheels. What do you guys recommend for the best way to clean these cars inside and out? Do I need separate leather, glass, vinyl, wheel, wax etc... or are there some great mostly all in 1 cleaners?

Here's something to consider...

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...my-jag-129518/

DO avoid automated car washes at all costs, better to leave it dirty!
DO use 2 bucket method hand wash
DONT use circular motions when cleaning / wiping
DO use a good quality wash mitt
DO use a good quality mocrofibre for drying

Keep on top of your wheels and tailpipes, door shuts, bonnet and boot hinge area......If you wash / wipe them down every time, they'll thank you for it.

Consider trying Poorboys Blackhole, specially formulated for darker coloured vehicles, its a glaze with fillers and will make your black car BLACK as night!!

Thanks, that video is amazing, I'm now looking for a easy place to buy all of the cleaning products needed in a set.

Just curious if anyone has priced out the service shown in the video (or similar)? That seems to be a 4-8 hour type of wash. Can't be cheap.

I've actually been looking at some areas on my city that do this service. A full service + nano coat apply is usually around $750 USD here.
