Code reader / tool
All, this is a post in two parts:
1) Does anybody know about a proper tool like Autologic / IDS that does not cost an arm and a leg?
2) I have a clone from 2012 whic all of a sudden did not accept the used passwork despite the fact that I had never had it on the internet nor added any other programs. I tried reinstalling after resetting the system clock to 2012 but no luck. Any ideas?

Per, are you running an Android based phone, if so, take a look at:
Super Mini ELM327 OBD2 Scanner Bluetooth V2 1 Smart Car Diagnostic Interface | eBay
That is one that works on the android system and most will agree that a free app called "Torque" will handle all that you need from your car.
If you have an iPhone, check out:
V2 1 ELM327 WiFi Wireless OBD2 Car Vehicle Diagnostic Auto Scanner for iPhone | eBay
I can not speak for how well it may work, but it appears to be an option for you.

Thanks I will check out the android tool.
Mongoose is a proper tool and the tool itself is ok pricewise but to utilise it you need access to Topix it seems. And at a minimum subscription cost of GBP 170 for one day it is rather expensive. I have contacted them to get confirmation of my understanding (or not as the case might be....)

Per, I have a membership to Topix. It can be free, but you also don't get access to everything. Older the vehicle, the more that they will allow you to see for free. You pay, you get access to everything.
